There is a missionary dimension to participating in the celebration of the Eucharist. At the end of Mass the priest sends us forth to witness to the Risen Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and to invite others to consider joining our Catholic Community at Mass.
This card has been created to enable individual parishioners to send a personal invitation to family members and friends who for whatever reason are no longer actively participating in Sunday Mass. The invitation is personal and welcoming since the parishioner writes in the name of the invitee and then personally signs the card. The parish return address on the envelope offers further welcome by an entire parish community.
The card is a gentle and friendly invitation with a suggested follow-up contact later.

A God who draws near out of love walks with his people, and this walk comes to an unimaginable point. We could never have imagined that the same Lord would become one of us and walk with us, be present with us, present in his Church, present in the Eucharist, present in his Word, present in the poor, he is present, walking with us. And this is closeness: the shepherd close to his flock, close to his sheep, whom he knows, one by one.

Recall that we as Catholics are a Church of the Eucharist—celebrating the Body and Blood of our Risen Savior Jesus Christ each Sunday. During this year we are reaching out to all of our Catholic family members and friends who may not join us regularly each Sunday for Mass. We miss you and would like to have you join us once again. I am extending a personal invitation to you to consider coming with me to a Sunday Mass in the near future at YOUR PARISH NAME HERE in YOUR PARISH CITY LOCATION. I always find it so helpful to hear Jesus speaking to us in the Gospel, and to be nourished with receiving Holy Communion during Mass. Our parish community would be delighted to have you join us on a Sunday convenient for you. I will give you a call soon to see if you might be open to joining us for a Sunday Mass.
